Plant of the Month

This months plant has beautiful rosy heart shaped flowers and its common name is Bleeding Heart. The Dicentra spectabilis is a lovely plant that thrives in well drained soil and light shade.

The white petals underneath the heart shaped flower is the obvious reason for it's common name. If you want to plant one in your garden, our recommendation is to choose a shelterd spot at the front of a border but they can grow up to 3ft tall.

These lovely flowers should hopefully be on display for the whole of June so why not take a trip to the gardens to see them?
