The Dahlia is blooming in the Gardens. What a stunning plant it is, the colours and petals vary so much. The reds and pinks in the Gardens really set each other off.
This tuberous herbaceous perennial is native to Mexico and is a member of the Asteraceae dicotyledonous plants. There are over 20,000 cultivars in existence created from an original 30 species.
Take a walk along the Lower Promenade in the Gardens and have a look for yourself. Let me know what you think.
