Southport Model Railway Village was established in 1995 by Ray and Jean Jones and is a popular attraction in King's Gardens. For more information about their admission prices and opening times please visit the new Southport Model Village website!
Next to the new play area in the gardens, you cannot miss a trip to the The Masters Putting Green and Crazy Golf in the gardens. Owned and ran by Jen Law, the crazy golf is always open!
Have you got a passion for trains? Did you know King's Gardens is also home to the Lakeside Miniature Railway? Linking visitors from the gardens, to Pleasureland and Ocean Plaza, owner Don Clark has been entertaining visitors to King's Gardens with his impressive collection of miniature railway locomotives. The first train ran on 25th May 1911, ran continuously through two world wars and claims to be the oldest continually running railway of 15inch (381mm) gauge in the world! Check out their website!
The Marine Lake is a really important part of King's Gardens, and if you have a spare hour, why not head down to the boating concession, ran by Owner Colin Poole, to enjoy the view of the gardens from the lake. All you will need to do is choose your mode of transport, whether by rowing boat, pedalo, zorb or the very impressive 'Southport Belle.'
After all of that you must be tired! Go and say hello to Kevin and Esther O'Connor in the Marine Lake and enjoy a much needed rest!
