Southport Brownies Celebrate 100 Years at King's Gardens

Brownies from all over Southport have planted an impressive display of Daffodils in King's Gardens to celebrate the 'Brownie Big Birthday.'

Over 40 Brownies and Brown Owls got their hands dirty on the western side of the gardens and The Marine Lake to plant a show stopping display of bulbs, to celebrate not only the 100 years birthday for King's Gardens, but The Brownie Centenary.

Brownie Units in attendance included 72nd Emmanuel, 58th, 45th, 48th, and 74th Brownies! Well done to all!

Thousands of bulbs were planted on the day and the display will be an exciting addition to the gardens in the Spring with a sea of yellow daffodils adorning the lake edge, multiplying over the years.
