A proud moment! The Friends of King’s Gardens gardening group have been AWARDED Level 5 – Outstanding for the King’s Gardens Community Garden. The gardening volunteers work hard all year round maintaining the community garden and this year they worked with local school children and added a sensory garden to the amazing surroundings.

Sensory Garden

What an amazing addition to the Community Garden, a beautiful sensory garden created by the Gardening Group and the Green Machine. The King’s Gardens Community Garden is maintained by volunteers, with support from Sefton Council when requested. The gardening volunteers work hard all year round to ensure the Community Garden is tended ensuring it remains looking pristine for all visitors to enjoy.

New Steps

The newly refurbished steps are nearly complete; the steps are accessible with new hand rails, colour contrasting steps and bubbled paving at the bottom, helping visually impaired people navigate the steps. The completion of the steps brings the capital works programme for King’s Gardens to an end.
