The Friends of King’s Gardens are organising the Community Planting session. This is an opportunity for all to come to the Gardens and help plant some plants and bulbs to bring colour to the Community Garden for the spring.
If you are heading down to help, go to the community garden where members of the friends will be to greet guide you.
There is equipment available but do feel free to bring your own gloves.
A proud moment! The Friends of King’s Gardens gardening group have been AWARDED Level 5 – Outstanding for the King’s Gardens Community Garden.
The gardening volunteers work hard all year round maintaining the community garden and this year they worked with local school children and added a sensory garden to the amazing surroundings.
Please join the Friends for their AGM 6.10pm at the Royal Clifton, Promenade, Southport.
Come and meet the group, hear about what they have been doing over the past year and if you wish take an active part in the group.
What an amazing addition to the Community Garden, a beautiful sensory garden created by the Gardening Group and the Green Machine. The King’s Gardens Community Garden is maintained by volunteers, with support from Sefton Council when requested. The gardening volunteers work hard all year round to ensure the Community Garden is tended ensuring it remains looking pristine for all visitors to enjoy.

The newly refurbished steps are nearly complete; the steps are accessible with new hand rails, colour contrasting steps and bubbled paving at the bottom, helping visually impaired people navigate the steps.
